About Restored for Good Ministries
Restored for Good Ministries or RFG for short is a non-profit that exists to empower and provide hope for women and children who are struggling through the confusion of spousal abuse and violence. What began as one woman’s heart ache has turned into a mission to help other women find hope, healing, clarity, and encouragement while dealing with abuse, deception, trauma, and spousal betrayal.
THE BEGINNINGS OF RFG
Darah Ashlie
Founder & President
After years of silently struggling through the confusion of domestic abuse Darah knew she and her son needed to get to a place of safety and healing. For years, she searched for help through her church, but couldn’t find resources for women in her situation. While serving in missions and ministry as a family for close to a decade, she encountered other women in ministry just like her that were also dealing quietly with the effects of spousal abuse.
God began to grow a passion in her heart for these women as well as the women she met in the mission fields where her family lived and served. She herself, had already lived through the chaos of abuse in her younger years before coming to know the Lord. Once she came into her faith in her late twenties, she never imagined it could happen again, especially once she and her husband both became Christians.
As she began to find true healing from abuse, she felt called to help other women find that same peace and safety. She went back to school to get her Master’s degree in Counseling with an emphasis on trauma and crisis care. Today she is available to speak at churches, community events, and trainings.
She is still a missionary at heart and loves the church, but God has given her a different means of sharing the Good News. She helps women through her Abuse Recovery practice, creates courses for churches to help the abused. She also speaks at churches to provide domestic abuse training and shares on emotional and relational healing, as well as overcoming the pain that trauma and loss create.
Is your church or community group interested in holding a training event, or learning more about how you can help support victims of Domestic Violence and Abuse?
“My church held a seminar with Darah as the speaker. It was so informative that we brought her back a second time! The information that she shares is so educational and practical. We always look forward to having her in our churches.”
